Art or Agate? 

 Agate! It's pretty much a rock, although I think hard core geologists may have something to say about my generalization.  They typically form in volcanic rock but can be found anywhere.  They aren't very big either, and usually measure just a few centimeters in size.  I found this rocktographer on flickr that had a breath taking collection of images of these most amazing little formations. You know I have a weakness for the beauty we find in nature, in these little gems are no exception.  Wouldn't these in large print make fabulous works of art?
